Testing: Light through film

I've made a sculpture out of film strips taped together, arranged in rings so as to test the transparency of each layer when subjected to a central light source. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my hands on a light tube this week, so I opted for testing in the stairwell instead, taking adv
antage of that sliver of light.
I found some surprising patterns generated by the refraction of light through the film. The patterns that were yielded through twisting and turning it at various angles created a variety of shadows and light art on the walls and floors, and I'd love to further explore what happens when translucent material with patterning is subjected to different lighting techniques.
